Nigel began kayaking as a teenager in the south of England. He instructs all around the world. When he’s home in Seattle USA he designs kayaks and kayaking equipment, produced by Point65, Seaward Kayaks and Current Designs, and he also writes.
He used his first sea kayak design to circumnavigate Iceland at age 24. “The Art of Kayaking” (FalconGuides) is his latest of 10 books, and he also released a 6-part sea kayaking instructional video series.
His kayaking mantra/philosophy is maximum effect for minimum effort. When he’s not kayaking he paddles solo canoe and plays guitar, but not at the same time.
