Rai Puig (Tarragona, 1985) holds a degree in Science of Physical Activity and Sport (INEFC), Monitor Canoeing Level 2 by the Royal Spanish Federation of Canoeing and Sea Kayaking Leader and Coach Level 2 by the British Canoe Union, between other degrees. Working the last 9 years as sea kayak instructor with different companies and schools in Costa Brava, Costa Daurada, Balearic Islands or even Patagonia and Greenland. Has collaborated several times with Club Pagaia as instructor on technical weekends. One of his great passions is kayak expeditions around the world, with a large curriculum: Baja California (Mexico), New Zealand, Wales, the Basc Country, Greenland, Mallorca, Menorca and his last and biggest expedition during summer 2014 the Inside Passage, more than 1200 miles (2000 Km) solo crossing from Vancouver (Canada) till Alaska, living numerous adventures recorded in a documentary film (“Paddling to Alaska”) winner of 2 awards in adventure film festivals and exhibited in TV3. He currently combines his work as instructor in Cap de Creus with international guiding with SK KAYAK and giving lectures on his documentary or sharing his experiences and lessons learned along his trips in order to promote kayaking.
